HP/Agilent E8247C PSG CW Signal Generator, up to 40 GHz

Agilent has enhanced the PSG CW signal generator by adding ramp sweep which provides continuous sweep measurement capability and offers fully automated use with the Agilent 8757D scalar network analyzer.

The E8247C PSG CW signal generator retains the industry-leading specifications in power level, phase noise and level accuracy. Agilent has enhanced the technical leadership of the PSG to provide our customers leading edge capabilities.

The PSG CW signal generator offers accurate characterization of products and eliminates the need of an external amplifier for testing high power devices. Because the new PSG CW signal generator guarantees accurate evaluation of devices, errors can be pinpointed early on in the design process thus resulting in a reduced development time.

HP/Agilent E8247C Features

  • Broad frequency ranges (250 kHz to 20 GHz or 250 kHz to 40 GHz) with .001 Hz frequency resolution
  • Highest output power available (+13 dBm standard or +20 dBm with Option 1EA) at 20 GHz with excellent level accuracy
  • Optional SSB close-in phase noise less than -98 dBc/Hz at 1 kHz offset at 10 GHz carrier
  • Convenient sweep modes: analog ramp sweep, digital step sweep, and list sweep
  • Full code compatibility with the Agilent 8757D scalar network analyzer
  • Easy frequency extension to 110 Ghz with Agilent's 83550 Series millimeter-wave source modules
