HP/Agilent E4350B Solar Array Simulator, 60V, 8A

The Agilent E4350B One-Box Solar Array Simulator (SAS) is a dc power source with 480 watt output that simulates the output characteristics of a solar array. The SAS is primarily a current source with very low output capacitance and is capable of simulating the I-V curve of different arrays under various conditions. The I-V curve is programmable over the IEEE-488.2 bus and is conveniently generated within the SAS. Up to 60 volatile / non-volatile tables can be pre-programmed.

  • Less than 100 nF output capacitance
  • Switching recovery time less than 5 usec
  • Programmable over-voltage and over-current protection isolated from main circuits
  • Over-temperature protection
  • Fan speed control to minimize acoustic noise
  • Fast I-V curve change in both table and simulator modes
  • Serial link to connect up to 16 outputs to one IEEE-488.2 address
  • Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments (SCPI) and VXI plug&play drivers
