HP/Agilent E2900A Mainframe for HP 80000 Data Generator System

The HP 80000 Data Generator System is a modular instrument that provides performance data- and clock generators. It's typical applications are to characterise high performance devices such as fast DACs for image presentation, multi channel receivers, parallel to serial converters and fast custom LSI ICs in the time domain.

The HP 80000 system consists of 2 parts.

1. HP E2900A Mainframe
2. HP E2901A Expansion Frame

It is of modular structure using plug-in cards with a wide range of data generation and stimulus characteristics.

The mainframe houses the internal clock generation including synchronous start/stop control, the colour touch-display, a rotary knob, two high-density 3.5" flexible disks an HP-HIL connector and contains five slots for plug-in cards.
