HP/Agilent 8981B Vector Modulation Analyzer

The HP 8981B Vector Modulation Analyzer is a two channel X-Y sampling oscilloscope designed to analyze the in-phase(I) and quadrature phase(Q) components of modern digital microwave radio signals such as QPSK, 16QAM, and 256QAM. The HP 8981B has a 50MHz to 200MHz demodulator.

HP/Agilent 8981B Features:

  • Analyzes coherent phase and amplitude modulation
  • 350MHz I vs. Q Bandwidth
  • Markers for measuring phase, amplitude and time
  • Displays magnitude and phase at time marker or magnitude and phase versus time
  • 12-bit digitizing for HPIB measurements
  • 50MHz - 200MHz I/Q demodulator
  • less then 0.5° quadrature and less then 0.1dB amplitude imbalance
