HP/Agilent 3478A 5.5 Digit DMM with GPIB

The HP/Agilent 3478A provides a low cost, full function, reliable DMM for system measurements.  Selectable 3 1/2 to 5 1/2 digit resolution and 5 autoranging functions offer flexibility in automated testing.  The 3478A can measure DCV, true RMS ACV, 2- and 4-wire ohms, and dc and ac current.  Simple, fast electronic calibration eliminates all adjustments to provide a lower cost of ownership.
The 3478A offers dc voltage performance from 100 nanovolt sensitivity up to 300 volts (full scale), true RMS capability up to 300 kHz, and resistance measurements from 100µOhm sensitivity to 30MOhm (full scale). Its dc and true RMS ac current measuring capability is from 1µA sensitivity up to 3A. The fast autorange capability of the 3478A allows you to make measurements over a wide dynamic range without sacrificing throughput rates.

  • Up to 90 readings/s.
  • 100 nV resolution.
  • True RMS with 300kHz bandwidth and 4:1 crest factor provides reliable measurements of AC signals.
  • Fast autoranging makes the first reading useful and accurate.
