Tektronix 1503C MTDR cable tester

The Tektronix 1503C is a simple to operate field maintenance tool for testing long runs of coax or twisted pair cables. TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) identifies and locates cable faults. The unit is connected to the cable and sends out an electrical pulse that is reflected back to the unit by a fault in the cable. Fault type is identified by the shape of the display. The display is an LCD where distance measurements may be determined using a cursor.

Tektronix 1503C Features:

  • Impedance levels of 50, 75, 93, or 125 Ohms
  • Up to 50,000 feet range; 1 to 5000 ft/div
